Early Life and Career Beginnings
Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Amirjanov began playing football at the tender age of 11 in the city's sports school. Under the guidance of his first coach, Elbrus Ismaylov, he honed his skills and developed a passion for the game.
Professional Debut and Domestic Success
In 2002, Amirjanov embarked on his professional career with Baku-based club Umud. He subsequently played for Adliya, Standard Baku, and Karvan Yevlakh in the Azerbaijani Premier League. In 2009, he joined the prestigious Neftchi Baku, the flagship club of Azerbaijani football.
Time at Neftchi Baku and International Call-up
With Neftchi Baku, Amirjanov became a key player in the team's midfield. He helped the club win the Azerbaijan Premier League title in the 2011/12 season. His performances also earned him a call-up to the Azerbaijan national team.
Departure from Neftchi Baku and Move to Inter Baku
After Neftchi Baku's disappointing defeat in the UEFA Champions League, Amirjanov was released from the club. He soon signed for another Azerbaijani Premier League team, Inter Baku.
