Education and Early Life
Ruslan Bohdan was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. He completed his primary and secondary education at Kyiv Secondary School No. 234. In 1987, he enrolled in the Kyiv Suvorov Military School, specializing in military training. From 1992 to 1997, he pursued physical education at the Ukrainian State University of Physical Education and Sport.
During his academic career, Bohdan simultaneously enrolled in the Kyiv National University имени Тараса Шевченко, where he studied economics from 1996 to 2000. He also graduated from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas in 2008, specializing in petroleum geology and gas.
Career
Bohdan began his professional journey in 1994 as the Head of the Material and Technical Supply Department at Fart LLC. He was promoted to Commercial Director within the same company by 2001. From 2001 to 2007, he served as First Deputy Director of Energotorg LLC.
Political Involvement
Bohdan joined the Reforms and Order party in 2005. He unsuccessfully contested the 2006 parliamentary elections as part of the "Pora-PRP" civic bloc. In December 2006, the Reforms and Order party merged with the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc. As a result, Bohdan ran for the 2007 snap parliamentary elections on the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc list, where he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the VI convocation.
He continued to serve as a Member of Parliament for the VII convocation in 2014, representing the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) party. On December 25, 2018, Bohdan was added to Russia's sanctions list.
