Early Life and Career at Celtic
Ryan Conroy is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing as a left-back or left-winger for Airdrieonians. He began his career with Scottish giants Celtic, signing his first professional contract in 2005.
Debut and Loan Spells
Conroy made his first-team debut for Celtic in December 2007 in a 4-0 victory over Falkirk. Despite an impressive debut, he struggled to break into the starting lineup and made only three appearances in two seasons. He was subsequently loaned out to Partick Thistle in January 2010, where he played 15 matches.
Loan to Queen of the South and Success
In August 2010, Conroy was loaned again, this time to Queen of the South. He made his debut on the same day and scored his first goal against Ross County. Conroy impressed during his spell at Dumfries, contributing a crucial goal in a 1-0 victory over Raith Rovers.
Return to Celtic and Departure
Conroy returned to Celtic in December 2010, but his contract expired at the end of the 2010/11 season. He became a free agent and soon signed with Dundee.
Dundee and International Career
Conroy made his debut for Dundee in July 2011 and scored his first goal for the club in November against Raith Rovers. He also scored a winning goal against Greenock Morton the following week. In 2007, Conroy represented Scotland at the U-20 World Cup in Canada. The following year, he earned three caps for the Scotland U-21 team, scoring one goal.
