Sandra Sully: Australian Television Presenter
Sandra Sully is an Australian television presenter who works for the Network Ten news program. She was born in Brisbane and started her career at Seven Network. In 1991, Sandra moved to Network Ten, initially working as a political correspondent in Canberra. Over time, she transitioned to become a reporter, hosting additional programs and eventually becoming the anchor for the weekend evening news.

Breakthrough as a Co-Host
In 1992, Sandra gained recognition as the co-host of the program "Good Morning Australia". She first partnered with Mike Hammond and later with Ron Wilson. The duo eventually moved to the 5 pm news time slot. In November 1995, Sandra became the permanent anchor of the late-night news program "Ten's Late News" after Anne Fulwood left for Seven Network. Sandra held this position until November 4, 2010.

Reporting on Major Events
Sandra made history as the first Australian journalist to report on the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. She was on air during the first strike and provided live coverage. In 1997, Sandra also reported live from Thredbo when a sudden landslide claimed the lives of 17 people. She continued the broadcast until the sole survivor, Stuart Diver, was rescued.
Sandra is also well-known for her series of reports on Timor Island and its journey to becoming a new nation. In 2009, she traveled to Borneo to cover the story of archaeologists who perished in Sandakan. Throughout her tenure at Network Ten, Sandra became the face of the channel. She not only hosted news specials on significant events such as the anniversary of the World Trade Center destruction and the Bali bombings but also worked on educational programs and documentaries about scientific advancements and the mysteries of wildlife.
Other Endeavors
From 2002 to 2007, Sandra hosted the Australian of the Year Awards ceremony. She also appeared multiple times on the special editions of the popular show "Australia's Brainiest" in 2005 and 2006. Sandra's passion for sports led her to cover the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada, in 1994 and the Summer Olympics in 1996. She was the first female reporter to co-host the renowned Australian event, the Melbourne Cup, and held the position for seven years.
Continued Career and Personal Life
In September 2010, Sandra became the anchor of Sydney's Ten News program. She made her debut in this new role in early 2011. Sandra was previously married to journalist and political analyst Mark Ryan, but they divorced in 2001. In November 1997, she faced a stalker who attacked her twice near her home, using the handle of his gun as a weapon. By the end of 2006, Sandra revealed that she had hired bodyguards to prevent further incidents.
