Shavarsh Kocharyan: A Distinguished Armenian Politician and Diplomat

Born on April 3, 1948, in Yerevan, Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharyan is a prominent Armenian politician and diplomat who currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Academic Achievements

Kocharyan holds a Bachelor's degree in technical cybernetics from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute (1971) and a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from the Moscow All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Genetics (1977). Additionally, he has co-authored over 100 scientific papers and holds more than 30 inventions licensed in numerous countries.

Throughout his career, Kocharyan has held various positions in the scientific field:

Senior laboratory assistant at the Charentsavan branch of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Genetics (1971-1972)
