Early Life and Education
Volodymyr Trushkovich was born in Ukraine and received his law degree from the Law Faculty of Uzhhorod National University in 1996. He went on to obtain a further degree from the Institute of International Relations at Kyiv National University in 2003, completing his doctorate in law in 2016.
Political and Legal Career
Early Political InvolvementTrushkovich began his political career as a member of the Uzhhorod City Council for two terms (2002 and 2006). He was also a deputy in the Ternopil Regional Council (2009).
State Service and Government Appointments
In 2004, Trushkovich became a State Servant of the First Rank and held various positions in the Ukrainian government, including Deputy Head of the Ternopil Regional Justice Administration (2004-2005) and Head of Property Management in the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration (2005).
Presidential Administration
In September 2006, Trushkovich joined the Presidential Administration as head of the Secretariat's Chief of Staff, a position he held until October 2007.
Ternopil Oblast Governor
From October 22, 2007, to April 6, 2010, Trushkovich served as Acting and subsequently as Governor of the Ternopil Oblast. During his tenure, he was awarded the Order of Merit, Third Class (2009).
Parliamentary Service
Trushkovich was elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine in the eighth convocation (2014-2019). He served as a member of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy, and Nuclear Safety.
Academic Career
Teaching and ResearchTrushkovich has taught as a lecturer and associate professor in the Department of Civil Law and Procedure at Uzhhorod National University from 1996 to 2004. He continues to conduct academic research and publish in his field of expertise.
Awards and Recognition
In addition to the Order of Merit, Third Class, Trushkovich has received various other awards and recognitions for his contributions to Ukrainian society and governance.
