Early Life and Education

Artem Yaroslavovich Maslyuk was born on November 7, 1971, in the village of Novogryhorivka in the Malovyskivskyi district of the Kirovohrad region, Ukrainian SSR. In 1992, he graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture as an engineer-mechanic. In 2003, he obtained a master's degree in government administration from the Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration.

Political Career

Early Years (1998-2004)
- Deputy of the Balakliya District Council (1998, 2002, 2006)

- Deputy Chairman of the Novavodolazhskyi District State Administration (April - November 2000)

- Economic Advisor to the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (November 2000 - January 2001)

- Chairman of the Balakliya District State Administration (January 2001 - November 2003)

Governor of Kharkiv Oblast (2004-2005)

- Appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (November 2003)

- Became the youngest governor of Ukraine after Yevhen Kushnarev resigned on December 18, 2004

- Served as governor until February 2005, when the position was transferred to Arsen Avakov

Post-Governorship (2005-2007)

- Head of the Kharkiv Regional Organization of the People's Party (February 2005 - April 2007)

- Candidate on the "People's Bloc Lytvyn" list for the 2006 parliamentary elections

- Economic Advisor to the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (January - February 2007)

Return to Balakliya and Local Council Chairmanship (2007-2010)

- Reappointed as Chairman of the Balakliya District State Administration (February 2007)

- Elected as Chairman of the Balakliya District Council (April 17, 2010) after serving as chairman from 1998 to 2003

Family and Personal Life

Artem Maslyuk is married to Lyudmila Viktorovna Maslyuk (born in 1973), the director of the "Diva" beauty salon. They have two children: Ivan (born in 1992) and Yekaterina (born in 2000).

Awards and Recognition

- Laureate of the All-Ukrainian program "Regional Leaders" (2002)
- Awarded the Order "For Merit" of the III degree (January 20, 2010)

Politics
