Biography of Tatiana Cherkasova
Tatiana Cherkasova (Meshcherkina) graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, L.E. Heifetz's director-actor workshop in 1996. In the same year, the young actress performed in Leonid Trushkin's musical "Toy Escape" (Button), staged at the A.P. Chekhov Theatre. She later played in Vladimir Yakunin's productions at the Moscow Chamber Theatre: "The Holy Sinner" by Bulgakov (Armanda), "The Chief of the Red Skins" by O. Henry (Child), and in Vladimir Salyuk's productions: "Three Sisters" (Irina), "The Ghost" (Regina), and "Mrs. Warren's Profession" (Vivie).
Impressive Debut
Tatiana Cherkasova made an impressive debut on the big screen. In 1996, she starred as Olga in Pavel Lungin's tragicomedy "The Lifeline." From 2007 to 2012, Tatiana Cherkasova played several notable roles on screen. Among them were Albina Zdornova in the suspenseful war film "Smersh," Lyuba Korotkova in the series "Advocate," Vera Gushchina in the melodramatic series "Black Snow," Valentina Mirzoeva in the drama "House on Ozernaya," doctor Zhanna Krasnova in the crime drama "Mother's Heart," and Nina Yakhontova in the series "Odnolyuby." However, the actress's biggest success came with the melodrama "House on the Roadside" (2011) directed by Anton Sivers. In the film, the main character Sasha (played by Andrei Merzlikin) hits a person with his car. Tatiana Cherkasova portrayed the wife of the victim.
