Biography of Timothy Casgrain
Timothy Casgrain, the new President of the Canadian radio and television company CBC, is a 58-year-old businessman from Montreal. He previously held the position of Chairman of the Board at SkyService Investments. Casgrain's extensive experience makes him well-suited to lead CBC and bring prosperity to the company.
Born in Montreal, Casgrain received his education in both Canada and the United States, focusing on economics and finance. After completing his studies, he worked as a teacher in Chad from 1969 to 1971.
From 1976 to 2002, Casgrain served as the Executive Vice President of Brasken Financial Services, a financial company, and prior to that, he worked on corporate reporting issues at Deloitte & Touche.
Casgrain is not shy about his conservative political beliefs in Canada. He also holds the positions of Chairman of the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education and President of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. In addition to his professional achievements, Casgrain is a married man and a proud father of three children.
