Biography of Timur Efremenkov

Timur Efremenkov was born on June 23, 1976, in Safonovo, Smolensk Oblast. In his youth, he actively participated in boxing and became a candidate for a master of sports. In 1999, Timur Efremenkov graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute, studying under the guidance of V. V. Ivanov. He started actively working in the film industry in 2005.

Acting Career

Timur Efremenkov's first significant role on screen was playing a doctor with the nickname Aybolit in the elite public house in the series "The Damned Paradise." He is known for his roles in action, detective, and military films. Efremenkov often portrays characters from both sides of the law - from gangsters and killers to security guards, operatives, riot police, and military personnel.

In 2009, he played one of the main roles in the series "The Sword," portraying former investigator Anton Karev, who joins an organized illegal combat group to punish lawbreakers. Among his other notable works are the character Nikolai Todorov in the series "Law & Order: Division of Operative Investigations -2," Police Captain Sergey Marusin in the series "Advocate-7," Evgeny Sormatov in the action film "Shkhera-18," and Lieutenant Alexey Nazarin in the military drama "Quiet Outpost."

For his role in the film "Quiet Outpost," Timur Efremenkov was awarded the prize for "Best Supporting Actor" at the 9th International Military Film Festival named after Y. N. Ozerov.

Personal Life

Timur Efremenkov has been married to singer Yulia Kirienko since 2012.
