Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Travis Barker was born on November 14, 1975. At the age of four, he received his first drum set and began learning to play the drums. Unfortunately, Travis's mother passed away when he was still very young, before he could start middle school. Before her death, she told Travis to never stop playing the drums because he had true talent. Travis fulfilled his beloved mother's last wish, and drums became his constant companions.
