Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi: An Italian-French Actress and Film Director

Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi is an Italian-French actress and film director. She is the older sister of Carla Bruni, the spouse of the 23rd President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Bruni-Tedeschi has been living in France since the age of 9. At the Nanterre acting school, she was taught by Patrice Chéreau and Pierre Romans. Bruni-Tedeschi played her first role in Chéreau's film "Hotel de France". In 2003, she made her directorial debut with the film "It's Easier for a Camel...". In 2004, she was a member of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Love and Collaboration with Louis Garrel

Bruni-Tedeschi is in a romantic relationship with Louis Garrel. The couple acted together in Bruni-Tedeschi's film "Actresses" (2007), where she played the lead role in a production of Turgenev's "A Month in the Country". This work was awarded a special jury prize in the Cannes "Un Certain Regard" program.
