Velizar Dimitrov is a Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. He represented the Bulgarian national team from 2002 to 2010, playing in 31 matches and scoring 3 goals.

Early Career and Club Transfers

Dimitrov began his career at the club of his hometown before moving on to play for Lokomotiv Sofia. In 2001, he joined Marek. However, it was in 2002 that he made his move to CSKA, where he would spend a significant part of his career.

Success with CSKA

During his time with CSKA, Dimitrov was recognized as the best player of the Bulgarian championship in 2003. He was also part of the team that won the Bulgarian championship in 2003 and 2008. In total, he played 103 matches for CSKA, scoring 30 goals.

Move to Metalurh Donetsk
