Vitaly Rodionov is a Belarusian football player who currently plays as a forward for the club BATE Borisov and the Belarus national team. He was born on February 11, 1984, in Vitebsk, Belarus.
Early Life and Career
Rodionov began his football career at a young age, playing for the youth teams of DYuSSh "Komsomolets" and SDYUSHOR "Dvina" in Vitebsk. His early coaches were Evgeny Valeryevich Novikov and Vladimir Pavlovich Voitekhovich.
Club Career
Rodionov has been a key player for BATE Borisov, one of the most successful clubs in Belarus. He has won the Belarusian Premier League five times with BATE in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. He has also won the Belarusian Cup twice in the 2005/06 and 2009/10 seasons. In 2010, he helped BATE win the Belarusian Super Cup.
Rodionov has also had the opportunity to play in European competitions. He has participated in the UEFA Champions League with BATE, scoring goals against Anderlecht in the 2008/09 season, Ekranas in the 2011/12 season, Vardar and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona in the 2012/13 season, Lille in the 2012/13 season, and Bayern Munich in the 2012/13 season.
