Political Career

Anzor Arshba is a distinguished politician who holds the position of Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Early Life and Education

Born in 1964 in the village of Kulanyrkhu, Gudauta District, Abkhazia, Arshba embarked on his academic journey in 1986 at the Belgorod Technological Institute. He graduated in 1991 with a solid foundation in economics.

Professional Experience

From 1991 to 1992, Arshba served as the Deputy General Director for Economics at the Belgorod Agro-Industrial Association. His exceptional abilities were recognized within the Abkhazian conflict of 1992-93, where he fought bravely and earned the prestigious "Medal for Courage."

Following the conflict, Arshba played a pivotal role in the post-war recovery efforts. From 1993 to 1994, he served as an employee in the Department of Economics and Forecasting in the Administration of Sukhum. Subsequently, he held the position of Head of the Tax Service of Sukhum District from 1994 to 1995.

Arshba's leadership qualities became evident during his tenure as Head of the Administration of New Athos from 1995 to 2003. Under his guidance, the city flourished and witnessed significant growth.

Ministerial Appointment and Accomplishments

In May 2003, Arshba was appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Abkhazia by Presidential Decree. His stewardship has transformed the agricultural sector, leading to increased productivity and economic growth.
