Early Life and Education

Vladimir Goshovsky was born on October 7, 1973, in Stryi, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. He later moved with his family to Balakliya Raion, Kharkiv Oblast. Goshovsky began working at the age of 13, and from 1986 to 1988, he worked as a farm worker in Cherveny Donets, Kharkiv Oblast.

After graduating from high school with honors, Goshovsky pursued a medical career. He worked as a nurse at the Balakliya District Hospital from 1989 to 1990 and studied at the Kharkiv State Medical University, graduating in 1995 with a red diploma in General Medicine. He continued his medical studies in a postgraduate program at Kharkiv State Medical University in 1996, while also working at the Medical and Genetic Center in Kharkiv.

Legal Career

Concurrently with his medical studies, Goshovsky pursued a legal career. He enrolled in the correspondence department of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy in 1994, graduating with honors in Law in 2000. From 1995 to 1997, he worked as a manager and leading legal counsel at the pharmaceutical company "Farmacia" in Kharkiv.

Political Involvement

Goshovsky became involved in youth activism in 1997, serving as vice president of the Ukrainian youth organization "Ukrnadraprominvest". In the same year, he was elected chairman of the Democratic Union of Youth ("DOM"), focusing on social justice and youth development.

In 1998, Goshovsky initiated the creation of the Youth Parliament of Kharkiv Oblast, with the aim of preparing young politicians to lead the city and country. He ran for the Kharkiv City Council as a candidate of DOM, and served as a deputy from 1998 to 2002.

National Parliament

Goshovsky's political career reached the national level when he was elected as a People's Deputy of the fourth convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2002. Representing single-mandate constituency No. 173 in Kharkiv, he chaired the Subcommittee on the Development of New Ecologically Clean Technologies within the Committee on Environmental Policy, Natural Resources, and Liquidation of Chernobyl. He also served as a member of the Ukrainian part of the Committee on Parliamentary Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU and as an authorized representative of the "People's Choice" parliamentary group.

Subsequent Career

After leaving the Verkhovna Rada in 2005, Goshovsky headed the law firm "National Legal Chamber" from 2007 to 2010. He then returned to public service in 2010, serving as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Drug Control from 2010 to 2011 and the State Service of Ukraine for Drug Control from 2011 to 2014.

Academic Credentials

Throughout his career, Goshovsky has pursued advanced academic studies. He holds a Doctor of Law degree as well as Candidate of Science degrees in Economics and Geological Sciences.
