Academic Background and Career
Early CareerIn 1976, the Ukrainian educator graduated from the Faculty of English Language at the Kirovograd Pedagogical Institute named after A.S. Pushkin. Two years later, he began working as a senior laboratory assistant in the Department of Pedagogy at the same institution. In 1979, he was appointed as a lecturer in the same department.
Advanced Studies
From 1979 to 1982, the educator pursued a postgraduate degree at the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute named after A.M. Gorky, specializing in the theory and history of pedagogy.
Administrative and Leadership Roles
In 1982, he became a senior lecturer in the Department of Pedagogy and deputy dean of the Philological Faculty at the Kirovograd Pedagogical Institute. Six years later, he was elected dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. In the early 1990s, he held the position of senior research fellow. In 1993, he was reappointed as dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. From 1994 to 1996, he served as vice-rector for educational and upbringing work.
Rectorship
In 1997, the educator was appointed as the rector of the SPI Pedagogical Academy. He has held this position for over two decades, leading the institution to achieve significant academic and institutional growth.
Research and Academic Achievements
Doctoral StudiesIn 1982, he successfully defended his candidate dissertation on the topic "The Problem of Improving the Lesson in the Pedagogical Heritage of V.A. Sukhomlinsky" at the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute named after A.M. Gorky. He received the scientific title of associate professor in 1988.
In 1994, he completed his doctoral dissertation on "The Concept of National Education of Mahatma Gandhi" at the Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Pedagogy. Subsequently, he was awarded the scientific title of professor in the Department of Pedagogy in 1996.
Contributions to Academia
The educator actively participates in the certification of academic staff and serves as a member of two councils for the defense of doctoral dissertations. He is also an opponent of dissertation research and reviews scientific publications.
