Biography of Will Daly

Will Daly is an American athlete and a member of the United States national team in rowing. He will represent his country in the upcoming 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Daly was born on August 2, 1983, in Colorado, where his parents and younger brother still reside. In his childhood, he spent a lot of time skiing and fishing, which is his main hobby aside from sports.

Daly attended Kent School, where a biology teacher who was a former rower invited him to join a rowing training session. Daly agreed and soon became passionate about rowing. Alongside rowing, he also participated in cross-country running. Later, Daly enrolled at Boston University, where he trained intensively for four years and graduated with honors in management and finance in 2006. During this time, he started competing in various rowing events and achieved remarkable results.

Among his notable achievements are U.S. National Team Trials in lightweight men's eight, National Selection Regatta II in lightweight men's pairs, USRowing Elite Nationals in lightweight men's pairs and fours, FISA Under 23 World Championships, and FISA World Championships.

In August 2008, Daly will make his debut in the Summer Olympics, which is an immensely significant event for him.
