Early Life and Education

Born on December 6, 1984, in Kościan, Poland, Adam Szłapka's academic journey began at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he graduated in 2008. He further pursued his studies at the Polish Institute of International Relations, completing his Master's degree in International Politics in 2012.

Early Political Activism

Szłapka's political involvement started as an activist for the youth organization of the Freedom and Democracy Union-democracja.pl, where he served as General Secretary from 2006 to 2012. Concurrently, he held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Kościan City Council from 2006 to 2010.

Leadership Positions

After a brief stint as Director of Projekt: Polska, organizing the "Together 89" and "Generation of Solidarity" projects, Szłapka joined the Presidential Chancellery during Bronisław Komorowski's presidency from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, he became the General Secretary of the Modern party.

Parliamentary Career

Szłapka's parliamentary career began with his election to the Sejm (Polish Parliament) in 2015, representing the Kalisz district. He served on the Foreign Affairs and Special Services Commissions. In 2019, he was re-elected to the Sejm from the Civic Coalition list, garnering 51,951 votes.

Chairman of Modern

On November 24, 2019, Szłapka succeeded Katarzyna Lubnauer as the Chairman of the Modern party, a position he continues to hold.
