A Prominent Panamanian Defender: Adolfo Machado
Early Career and Club TransfersAdolfo Machado, a Panamanian footballer, plays as a center back for the American club Houston Dynamo. He began his career with the Panamanian club Alianza. In 2008, Machado attempted a move to Colombian club Envigado but returned to Alianza after the transfer fell through. Subsequently, he signed with Guatemalan team Deportivo Marquense in 2008, Honduran club Marathón in 2010, and Guatemalan club Comunicaciones later that year.
Suspension and Return
In 2012, Machado faced a two-year suspension after testing positive for the banned substance boldenone. Following his suspension, he signed with Panamanian club San Francisco in 2013 and was loaned to Costa Rican club Saprissa in 2014.
International Career
Machado made his international debut for the Panama national team in 2008 against Guatemala. He has since been a regular member of the squad, representing Panama in various competitions.
