Education and Career
Mahir Abbaszadeh graduated from the Faculty of History at Baku State University and the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Ministerial Experience
From 1996 to 2005, Abbaszadeh worked in the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, holding positions as instructor, chief instructor, and head of department.
Parliamentary Service
On November 6, 2005, Abbaszadeh was elected as a member of the Milli Majlis (third convocation) representing the 59th first Salyan electoral district. He serves on the Standing Commission on Social Policy.
Interparliamentary Relations
Abbaszadeh is an active member of the working groups on interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and the following countries: Qatar, Great Britain, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. He is also the head of the working group on interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait.
International Delegation
As a member of the Azerbaijani delegation, Abbaszadeh represents his country in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Personal Life
Abbassadeh is a member of the "New Azerbaijan" party. He is married and has two children.
