Early Life and Education
Alexander Maksimov was born in Odessa, Ukraine, on August 17, 1965. His father, Pavel Maksimov, was a musician and entertainer, while his mother, Evgenia Kovalchuk, was a seamstress. At the age of 10, Maksimov discovered his passion for music and began composing songs.
From 1975 to 1981, he studied composition at the Odessa Conservatory and later enrolled in the Odessa Music College, where he honed his piano skills under the tutelage of jazz pianist Yuri Kuznetsov.
Music Career
After serving in the military, Maksimov began working as a pianist on passenger cruise ships. In 1990, he adopted the pseudonym Maxi-move and collaborated with recording studios as an arranger.
In the 1990s, Maksimov produced music for the band Shaobaobao! and wrote several hit songs, including "Kupyla Mama Konika" and "Sambo Shaobaobao!". He also penned "Khochetsya Russkogo" in collaboration with Alexander Pryannikov.
Collaborations and Success
From 2000 to 2006, Maksimov worked with Igor Krutoy, contributing to the creation of the musical "The Snow Queen" and the reality show "Fabrika Zvezd." He also collaborated with Mikhail Veselov on the fifth season of "Fabrika Zvezd 5" produced by Alla Pugacheva.
In 2005, Maksimov began producing for singer Lera Masskva and released her debut album, "Na Sedmom Etaze."
Recent Ventures
As of 2011, Alexander Maksimov is the music producer for a variety of artists, including Alexander Lominsky, Nyusha, Evelina Bledans, and the bands Ulitsy and New Samoцветы. His work continues to shape the landscape of popular music in Ukraine and beyond.
