Biography of Alexander Dolgopolov

Alexander Dolgopolov Jr., also known as Alexander Dolgopolov, is a Ukrainian tennis player. He was born on November 7, 1988, in Kiev, Ukraine. His father, Alexander Dolgopolov Sr., was also a professional tennis player, which is why he is known as Alexander Dolgopolov Jr.

Early Career

Dolgopolov started playing tennis at the age of three. In 2010, he began his professional career by participating in the Brisbane International tournament. He qualified for the main draw and defeated Bernard Tomic in the first round. However, he lost to Radek Stepanek in the second round. In the Australian Open, he was eliminated in the first round of the qualifying matches by Simon Stadler.

Breakthrough and Grand Slam Success

In 2010, Dolgopolov qualified for the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters and reached the main draw. He was defeated by Julien Benneteau in the first round. At the Mutua Madrid Open, he again qualified for the main draw and won his first-round match against Andreas Seppi.
