Early Life and Education
Born on June 23, 1969, in Novyi Rozdil, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, Andriy Antonyshak spent his formative years in the region. He attended Novorazdelska Secondary School No. 3 from 1976 to 1986 before pursuing his education at Lviv Technical College of Wood Mechanical Processing from 1986 to 1991. In 2005, he enrolled at the Interregional Academy of Human Resource Management, graduating in 2009 with a degree in Human Resource and Business Management.
Career and Political Involvement
Antonyshak worked in various commercial enterprises in Novyi Rozdil, holding leadership positions. In late 2013 and early 2014, he played a significant role in the Euromaidan protests.
In November 2014, he was elected to the 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) on the electoral list of Petro Poroshenko's Bloc, where he served as a member of the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy. Despite initially supporting a controversial law on loan conversion, he later withdrew his vote.
Controversies and Legal Issues
In August 2017, Antonyshak was charged with driving under the influence after he refused to take a breathalyzer test during a traffic stop. His intoxication was confirmed by two witnesses. The case was eventually closed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
Sanctions and Final Days
In December 2018, Antonyshak was included in the Russian sanctions list. He passed away on March 27, 2024, due to health complications stemming from injuries sustained in combat.
