Born on February 17, 1973, in Dnipro, Andrei Brodsky is the son of a military serviceman. He graduated from the National Mining University (now Dniprovsk Polytechnic) with a degree in Mineral Beneficiation.

Professional Career

Brodsky's professional career began at the age of 17 as a laboratory assistant at the Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics. He gained extensive experience in management positions in the metal and pipe supply industry across Ukraine, the CIS, and Europe.

Founding and Success of Velta

In 2006, Brodsky founded Velta LLC, a company specializing in the extraction, processing, and sale of ilmenite, a titanium raw material. Under his leadership, Velta rapidly explored and secured the necessary permits and financing to develop the deposit.

Construction of the Ore Processing Complex

In 2011, Velta completed the construction of a state-of-the-art ore processing complex in record time. This milestone marked Velta's entry into the global market for titanium raw materials. The facility was the first of its kind to be built worldwide in recent years.

Global Impact and Local Development

Velta's operations contributed significantly to the development of Kirovohrad Oblast, increasing the weight of the mining industry by 2%. Brodsky set a goal for Velta to capture 2% of the global titanium raw material market, which was achieved in 2017.

Vertical Integration and Innovation

To drive innovation, Brodsky established Velta RD Titan, a research and development center, in 2017. The center is focused on developing a revolutionary technology for titanium metal production. Velta RD Titan has filed patents in the US and Ukraine, aiming to reduce the cost of titanium and make it more accessible.

Social Responsibility and Business Practices

Brodsky promotes social responsibility in Kirovohrad Oblast. Velta has invested over 350 million hryvnias in taxes, created 600 jobs, and contributed 32.5 million hryvnias in social investments. He advocates for transparency and ethical business practices in the Ukrainian mining industry.
