Early Life and Career

Annette Dytrt(born Annette Dittmer) is a German-Czech figure skater who competed in ladies' singles. Born in Germany to Czech parents, she initially represented the Czech Republic as Annette Dytrtovaduring the 1998–1999 and 1999–2000 seasons, winning the Czech national championship in 1999 and placing 18th at the World Junior Championships.

Return to Germany and National Success

From 2003 to 2006, Dytrt returned to representing Germany and captured four consecutive national championships. Her best results at the European Championships during this period were 10th place in 2006, and 15th place at the World Championships in 2005.

Attempt at Pairs Skating and Return to Singles

In 2006, Dytrt briefly attempted to switch to pairs skating with partner Norman Jeschke. However, Jeschke retired from amateur competition, and they never competed internationally. Dytrt returned to singles figure skating.

2008–2009 Season: National Champion and Olympic Qualification

In 2008, Dytrt placed third at the German Championships but qualified for the World and European Championships due to the ineligible age of the skaters who surpassed her. She finished 12th at both tournaments. In the 2008–2009 season, she regained the national championship title, finished third at the Karl Schäfer Memorial, and competed in the Grand Prix series, placing 10th at both Skate America and the NHK Trophy. At the 2009 European Championships, Dytrt achieved a career-best 7th place finish. She qualified for the World Championships but finished 18th, nonetheless securing a women's singles spot for Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Olympic Qualification and Retirement

The German Figure Skating Federation established a qualification system for the 2010 Olympics, requiring athletes to earn a certain score at one of the first three international competitions of the season. Dytrt failed to meet this requirement at the Grand Prix events, and 16-year-old Sarah Hecken represented Germany at the Games. Dytrt did not compete in the 2010 German Championships and subsequently retired from competitive skating.
