Anton Lirnyk: A Multifaceted Creative Force
Early Life and EducationAnton Lirnyk, born in Kirovohrad, Ukraine, pursued his passion for journalism at the Kirovohrad State Pedagogical University. However, his educational journey took an unexpected turn when he transferred to a different university for philology and was eventually expelled.
Comedy and Television Career
Kirovohrad and BeyondLirnyk's interest in comedy began in Kirovohrad, where he joined the successful local KVN team "Golfstream." He also worked for local television channels before moving to Kyiv in 2000.
"Comedy Club Ukraine" and "Duet Chekhov"
In Kyiv, Lirnyk worked on radio stations, hosted a television show on "Inter," and wrote scripts for feature films. In 2003, he became a member of the KVN team "Alaska," which twice reached the top tier of the KVN league. During his time with "Alaska," Lirnyk forged a partnership with Andrey Molochny, his future collaborator on the comedy show "Duet Chekhov."
"Lirnik Band"
Beyond his comedy and television work, Lirnyk has also pursued a music career. He is the founder, lyricist, and frontman of the band "Lirnik Band." The band's 2011 music video for "Zhiguli" gained immense popularity and led to a collaboration with the car manufacturer AvtoVAZ.
Personal Life
Lirnyk's personal life has been marked by both joy and tragedy. He has three children from three marriages. His first daughter, Maria, passed away from brain cancer at the young age of 8.
