Early Education and Career

Azer Amiraslanov was born in Baku on July 19, 1971. He attended Baku Secondary School No. 158 from 1978 to 1988.

In 1988, Amiraslanov enrolled in Azerbaijan State University of Economics. After graduating with honors in 1993, he pursued a postgraduate program at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

Professional Experience

From 1993 to 1994, Amiraslanov worked as a leading economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Joint-Stock Agro-Industrial Bank. In 1994-1998, he served as a senior consultant in the Economic Legislation Department of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament).

During the 1998-2000 period, Amiraslanov held the position of consultant in the Economic Policy Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2001 to 2003, he was the Director of the Center for Economic Analysis and Consulting.

In 2003-2004, Amiraslanov worked as a Senior Economist for Macroeconomic Issues at the German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ). He then joined the "Ata Holding" group of companies, serving as a Board Member and Director of the Strategy and Business Development Department from 2004 to 2005.

Political and Public Service Career

From 2005 to 2008, Amiraslanov was a deputy of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He served as Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee.

In 2007, he was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2008, he became Head of the Agricultural Policy Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2017, he was promoted to Assistant to the President for Agricultural Policy and Head of the Department.

Academic and International Experience

In 1996, Amiraslanov defended his doctoral dissertation and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Economics. He is the author of 6 books and over 50 scientific articles.

From 2000 to 2002, Amiraslanov taught "World Economy" at Western University and Azerbaijan State University of Languages. He was a lecturer at Azerbaijan State University of Economics from 2008 to 2017.

Amiraslanov has participated in and presented at various seminars, conferences, and business meetings held in numerous countries. He has received certifications from organizations such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Bilkent University (Turkey), and the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships (USA).

Personal Life

Amiraslanov is married and has two children.
