Biography of Moussa Camara

Moussa Dadis Camara, born in 1964 in the small village of Kure in southeastern Guinea, is a famous Guinean political figure and talented military officer. Coming from a humble background, Moussa's parents, who were poor peasants, played a crucial role in his development and eventual success in the fields of politics and the military.

Moussa completed his education in N'Zerekore and graduated with an honorary diploma from the university. It was during this time that he decided to pursue a career in the army, as the military appealed to him the most. In 1990, Moussa began actively climbing the career ladder and was soon appointed as a captain.

Although his military service was challenging, Moussa's courageous and just efforts were rewarded with the respect and love of the people. From 2007, Moussa became increasingly involved in anti-government protests, as he and other military personnel were regularly denied their salaries. Furthermore, the government's actions did not align with Moussa's vision of effective governance.

Following the death of President Lansana Conté, Moussa Dadis Camara made a bold televised address to the people of the Republic of Guinea. He called for a temporary suspension of the government's activities and the temporary suspension of the Guinean Constitution. It was during this time that he was chosen as the leader. Currently, Moussa serves as the head of state, enjoying the support of a significant portion of the country's population.

New elections for the presidency have been scheduled for December 2010, but until then, Moussa Dadis Camara will remain at the helm. He hopes to bring about significant changes and improve the situation in the country.
