Professional Career
As a professional Austrian hockey player, Bernard Brückler, a renowned goalie, has showcased his exceptional skills. He participated in five World Championships, representing the Austrian national team in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
KHL Journey with Siberia
In the 2011/12 season, Brückler embarked on a new chapter in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), joining the Siberian ice hockey club. During his tenure with Siberia, he played in 40 matches, displaying his remarkable saves with a 91.3% reflection rate and contributing four goal assists. He secured nine victories, including two shutouts. However, on August 19, 2012, the management decided to terminate his contract.
Awards and Accolades
Throughout his career, Brückler has garnered several prestigious awards. He was recognized as the best goalie in the Finnish Championship for the 2007/2008 season, based on his exceptional defense rate. Additionally, fans voted him the best player during the same season. He also captured a silver medal in the Finnish Championship in 2007/2008. Brückler's remarkable talent was further acknowledged when he became part of the All-Star teams in the USHL (2001), WCHL (2004 and 2005). He also received recognition as the best newcomer in the WCHL (2002).
International Representation for Austria
Brückler has represented Austria at numerous international events. His contributions to the Austrian national team were evident in the World Championships of 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
NHL Draft and KHL Recognition
In 2001, the Philadelphia Flyers selected Brückler as the 150th overall pick in the NHL draft. His exceptional skills were further recognized when he was named the best KHL goalie in September 2010, an honor bestowed by the KHL.

During the 2011-12 season, Brückler set a remarkable record in the KHL by providing four goal assists as a goalkeeper, a testament to his versatility and exceptional vision on the ice.
