Early Life and Military Career
> Lieutenant General, Commander of Regional Command "South" (2007-2008)
Born on October 21, 1957, in Tokmak, Kyrgyz SSR, he graduated with honors from the Alma-Ata Higher Combined Arms Command School in 1979. Beginning his military service in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany, he held the positions of Motorized Rifle Platoon Commander and Assault Platoon Commander in the 35th Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade.

> Commander of a Motorized Rifle Battalion (1988-1992)After graduating with honors from the M.V. Frunze Military Academy in 1988, he served as Commander of a Motorized Rifle Battalion in the Central Asian Military District. In 1992, he became Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Kyrgyz National Guard.
