Early Life and Career

Jong-a-Pin, born to a Surinamese family with Chinese ancestry, began his football career with Dutch club Volendam. He made his professional debut during the 2005/06 season.

International Highlights

In 2007, Jong-a-Pin received a call-up to the Netherlands under-21 team for the European Championships under coach Foppe de Haan. He featured in the first two group stage matches against Israel (1-0 win) and Portugal (2-1 win), helping the Netherlands qualify for the semi-finals and secure a spot at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In the tournament final, the Dutch drew 1-1 with England and ultimately emerged victorious in a penalty shootout (13-12).

Club Success

Jong-a-Pin later joined AZ Alkmaar, where he played for several seasons. In 2009, he helped the club lift the Dutch Cup.

Current Situation

Currently, Jong-a-Pin plies his trade with Yokohama, a Japanese football club.
