In the 1980s, Cassandra appeared in the television series "Remington Steele", which starred her husband, actor Pierce Brosnan. It is said that Pierce fell in love with Cassandra at first sight, and she became the main woman in his life. It was Cassandra who convinced Pierce to go to Hollywood, where he eventually found his own stardom. Their marriage in 1980 was Cassandra's third marriage. She was previously married to William Firth and Dermot Harris, with whom she had two children, Christopher and Charlotte. They divorced in 1978, and a few years later, Cassandra married Pierce Brosnan, who became her third and final husband. In September 1983, their son Sean Brosnan was born. After Dermot's death in 1986, Pierce adopted Christopher and Charlotte.

In 1987, Cassandra was diagnosed with cancer, which ultimately took her life at the age of 39 on December 28, 1991, after a four-year battle with the disease. Pierce did everything in his power to help Cassandra, taking her to resorts and hiring the best doctors, but he was unable to save her.

During her short career as an actress, Cassandra appeared in only seven films, with "Remington Steele" being her most significant work.
