From 2002 to 2004, Jean participated in the 'Miss Texas Teen USA' beauty pageant and reached the semi-finals in both 2003 and 2004. She also held the title of 'Miss Houston Teen USA' in 2003. During these pageants, she competed against future Miss Texas USA winners Lauren Lanning and Magen Ellis. In 2005, Jean won the title of 'Miss Corpus Christi' and was named one of the top ten contestants in the 'Miss Texas USA 2005' pageant. It is worth noting that actress Eva Longoria also won the 'Miss Corpus Christi' title in 1998.

Famous Family Ties

Jean is the cousin of another Texas beauty, Nicole O'Brian, who was a former 'Miss Texas Teen USA' and 'Miss Texas USA' winner.

Reality TV and Acting Career

In 2008, Jean participated in the 'Miss California USA 2008', but was disqualified due to her appearance on the TV show 'America's Next Top Model'. The following year, she served as a judge for the 'Miss Newport Beach' pageant. Jean was also a contestant on the fifth season of 'America's Next Top Model', but she left the competition in the fourth episode. She gained attention when the show's stylists drastically cut her long chestnut hair and turned her into a blonde. Host Tyra Banks was dissatisfied with Jean's haircut and wanted it even shorter, but Jean refused. She claimed that the producers gave her one evening to consider her options, and the next morning, she withdrew from the competition. Jean is remembered as one of the most memorable contestants on the show and has appeared in special episodes such as 'The Cycle 5 Reunion, America's Next Top Model: Where the Girls Are' and 'America's Next Top Model: Exposed' in 2008.

In 2007, Jean made her television acting debut, portraying a victim in an episode of 'CSI: Miami', a girl in 'Hannah Montana', and a bikini contestant in 'Las Vegas'. She has since had more than a dozen small roles in TV shows such as 'Mad Men' and 'One Tree Hill'. Additionally, she had brief appearances in the fourth installment of 'Fast & Furious' (2009) and the comedy film '2 Dudes and a Dream' (2009).

Jean has also hosted several television shows, and on February 15, 2008, she participated in the game show '1 vs. 100' and won half a million dollars.
