An Albanian Defender with International Experience
Artan Bano is an Albanian professional footballer who has represented his country on the international stage as a defender.
Early Career and European Journey
Bano began his footballing journey with his hometown club in Albania. In 2003, he signed a contract with Ukrainian club FC Metalurh Donetsk, where he spent three seasons before moving to FC Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia. After a brief stint with only six appearances, he joined Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv in February 2006.
Return to Ukraine and Further Moves
Bano returned to FC Metalurh Donetsk in the summer of 2006, before transferring to FC Arsenal Kyiv in 2008, though he did not make any appearances for the club. He then spent two seasons with Khazar Lankaran in Azerbaijan before returning to his boyhood club, FK Vllaznia Shkodër, in July 2012.
