Emin Atabala Imamaliev

A native of Azerbaijan, Imamaliev's football journey began at the tender age of seven at the Baku Sports School of Labor Reserves. Guided by his first coach, Alekper Djaparov, he honed his skills in the capital city.
Professional Beginnings
Imamaliev embarked on his professional career in 1996, joining the Baku-based club Khazri Buzovna. His talent soon caught the attention of several domestic clubs, including Shafa, Baku, and Inter Baku. In 2008, he made a significant move to Karabakh (Aghdam), where he has remained a mainstay.
International Journey
Alongside his club career, Imamaliev represented Azerbaijan's U-18 youth team in the 1997-1998 season, showcasing his abilities in the Azeri Premier League. His performances attracted interest from renowned clubs like Chornomorets Odessa, Trabzonspor, and Iranian side Peykan.
National Team Debut and Goal
On September 2, 2000, Imamaliev made his highly anticipated debut for the Azeri national team in a World Cup 2002 qualifier against Sweden. Seven years later, he etched himself into national footballing history when he scored the match-winning goal in an away qualifying match against Finland for Euro 2008.
