Biography of Ines de la Fressange
Ines de la Letitia Eglantine Isabelle de Seignard de la Fressange was born on August 11, 1957, in Gassin, Var department, in the south of France. She grew up in the suburbs of Paris with her three brothers. Her father was a French stockbroker, Ande de la Seignard de la Fressange, and her mother was an Argentine model, Cecilia Sanchez Sairez. Ines' grandmother was Madame Simone Jackino, the heiress of the bank 'Lazard'.

Modelling Career and Collaboration with Chanel
In 1980, Ines became the first model to sign an exclusive contract with the high fashion house 'Chanel'. She quickly became the muse of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. However, their collaboration came to an end in 1989 due to a conflict. It is believed that the reason for their split was Ines' decision to undergo a bust enhancement surgery to resemble Marianne, the symbolic female figure representing France. Lagerfeld criticized Ines' desire, stating that Marianne embodied everything that was "boring, bourgeois, and provincial," and that he did not want to dress historical monuments.

Personal Life and Later Career
In 1990, Fressange married Italian businessman Luigi d'Urso, who sadly passed away on March 23, 2006. The couple had two daughters together. As of 2009, Ines was no longer actively working as a model. She had transitioned into becoming a businesswoman, responsible for a network of clothing boutiques, as well as a designer and consultant for Jean-Paul Gaultier. Ines presented Gaultier's Spring-Summer 2009 collection and even participated in the fashion show herself, despite being 51 years old at the time.

Entrepreneurship and Fragrance Line
After retiring from her career as a top model, Fressange ventured into the world of entrepreneurship. She launched her first fragrance, naming the perfume after herself, 'Ines de la Fressange'. The fragrance was created by perfumer Calice Becker.
