Jóhann Dæðhi Böðvarsson: An Icelandic Football Star
Jóhann Dæðhi Böðvarsson is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays for Reading in the English Championship and represents the Iceland national team.
Early Career
Böðvarsson began his professional football career with Selfoss in 2007. In 2011, he spent a six-month loan spell at Danish First Division club Aarhus, but saw limited playing time. Upon returning to Selfoss, he became a regular starter and played three successful seasons.
Norway and England
In late 2012, Böðvarsson signed for Viking in Norway. After four seasons with the club, he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in England in 2016. In 2017, he moved to Reading, where he has since played for the past three seasons.
International Career
Böðvarsson is considered one of the youngest players to represent Iceland at the senior level. He made his debut in 2012 and has been a regular member of the team since then. He has also represented Iceland at the under-21 level.
