Early Life and Career

Jorn Lande was born on May 31, 1968, in Norway, into a musical family. He began seriously pursuing singing at the age of nine. His rise to fame began when the aspiring vocalist performed the main vocal part in the song "Alt for Norge" ("All for Norway") at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Today, he is one of the most renowned metal vocalists, known for his powerful voice and great work ethic. Throughout his 15-year music career, Lande has been involved in over 20 studio albums, either entirely or partially, and around a dozen live albums. In recent years, Jorn Lande has been working both as a solo artist and as a session musician. His first album, titled "Vagabond," was released in 1994, when he was a member of the band Vagabond. At that time, the group was only known in Norway.

Collaborations and Solo Career

In 1998, Lande caught the attention of musician and producer Bernie Marsden, who had played in Whitesnake for a long time. Bernie heard a recording of Lande's vocals and realized that Jorn was exactly what he was looking for. This led to the formation of the band The Snakes, which played in the style of early Whitesnake. However, the band did not last long and managed to release only one studio album and one live album. In that same year, Lande accepted an invitation from the Norwegian collective Mundanus Imperium, whose music was different from what Jorn had been doing until then.

However, Lande gained true popularity in the metal scene through his collaborations with the Norwegian progressive metal band ARK and his involvement in the project Beyond Twilight. These works showcased his full potential, his creative abilities, and the range of his vocals, with some calling him the Dio of the new millennium and others referring to him as a younger Coverdale. From 2000 to 2007, Jorn worked extensively, releasing 2-3 albums per year and actively touring worldwide.

Another collaboration that brought Lande significant popularity was his work with the well-known power metal band Masterplan. Their joint album, titled "Aeronautics," was released in 2005, but due to creative disagreements with other band members, Lande was forced to leave the group and dedicate himself to his solo career and session work.

In 2006, his most successful solo album, "The Duke," was released, solidifying his image as a powerful vocalist and talented composer.
