Biography of Linnea Quigley

Linnea Barbara Quigley, an American model and actress, was born on May 27, 1958, in Davenport, Iowa. She was the daughter of psychologist Hugh Quigley and his wife Dorothy. Quigley moved to Los Angeles in the late 1970s to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She quickly found work in the film industry, appearing in over 100 films in the following years. Quigley gained the most popularity for her roles in numerous horror films, including "The Return of the Living Dead" (1985), "Night of the Demons" (1988), and others.

Quigley posed nude for Playboy magazine three times – in 1985 and twice in 1990. She also appeared nude on screen multiple times, notably in "The Return of the Living Dead". Quigley is also the author of two books about her career in horror films: "Chainsaw" and "I'm Screaming as Fast as I Can". She is a member of the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and is involved in their program "Ladies' Salad," which promotes a vegetarian lifestyle.

In the early 1990s, Quigley decided to become a police officer and even passed the written test for it. However, she ultimately changed her mind and continued her acting career. In 1990, she married special effects artist Steve Johnson, whom she met on the set of the film "Night of the Demons". The marriage lasted only two years. In 2001, Quigley moved to Florida to be closer to her parents, who had settled there after her father's retirement.
