Marshall William Faulk, an African-American former player of the National Football League (NFL), was born on February 26, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana. From a young age, Faulk was passionate about American football, as is often the case with professional athletes.

After playing for the college team in San Diego, Faulk showcased his skills as a talented running back and receiver. This solidified his position as a tailback. In his second game, he ran a total of 386 yards and scored 9 touchdowns out of 37 plays. Leaving the college team, Faulk carried with him numerous sports records that predicted a successful career in the National League.

In 1994, Faulk was drafted by the "Indianapolis Colts," a team in desperate need of speedy players.
