Early Life and Education
Erisa Xhaferri was born in Albania and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Tirana in 1989. Subsequently, she worked as a researcher at the Institute of Informatics in Albania. In 1991, she moved to France and enrolled in graduate studies at Pierre and Marie Curie University, where she received a Master's degree in Communications and Information Technologies in 1993 and a Doctorate in the same field in 1997.
Career in Information Technology
From April 1991 to September 1992, Xhaferri gained valuable experience in the private sector, working for an IT company. After completing her doctorate, she accepted a position at CNET, the renowned European telecommunications research center, part of France Télécom in Paris.
Political Involvement
Xhaferri is a dedicated member of the Socialist Party of Albania. In 2013, she was elected as a representative to the Albanian Parliament and subsequently appointed Minister of Innovation and Public Administration in Edi Rama's government.
Personal Life
Erisa Xhaferri is happily married with two children. She is fluent in French, English, and Italian.
