Early Life and Career
Mohammed Al-Sahlawi is a Saudi Arabian footballer who currently plays as a striker for Al-Nassr FC in Riyadh. Al-Sahlawi was raised by his mother and siblings after his father passed away when he was young. He began his football career with local club Al-Fayzali before joining Al-Tai'ee where he gained prominence at the age of 15. In 2002, he attended a trial at Al-Hilal FC.
Al-Nassr FC
In 2009, Al-Sahlwai made a record-breaking transfer to Al-Nassr for $8 million, eclipsing the previous Saudi transfer record held by Yasser Al-Qahtani, who was purchased by Al-Hilal in 2005 for $5.33 million. During his debut season with Al-Nassr, Al-Sahlawi scored 21 goals in 36 matches. In 2015, he was recognized by the IFFHS as one of the world's top goal scorers.
International Career
On September 3, 2015, Al-Sahlawi scored his first international hat-trick in Saudi Arabia's 7-0 victory over East Timor. He went on to score five goals against the same team on November 17, 2015, in a 10-0 triumph.
