Biography of Aliyev Mukhu Gimbattovich
Early Life and EducationAliyev Mukhu Gimbattovich was born on August 6, 1940, in the village of Tanusi, Khunzakhsky District, Dagestan ASSR. In 1962, he graduated from the Dagestan State University as a philologist.
Political Career
1969-1972:First Secretary of Makhachkala City Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (VLKSM).
1972-1983:First Secretary of the Sovetsky District Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in Makhachkala.
1984-1990:Head of the Organizational-Party and Personnel Department of the Dagestan Regional Committee of the CPSU.
1990-1991:First Secretary of the Republican Committee of the CPSU.
1991:Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Dagestan.1994:Elected Chairman of the Supreme Council of Dagestan.
1995-Present:Chairman of the Parliament (People's Assembly) of the Republic of Dagestan.
Other Accomplishments
Member of the Federation Council of the Second Convocation.In 1999, elected as a deputy to the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan for the second term.
