Early Life and Education

Oleksandr Bondarenko was born and raised in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He received a higher education, specializing in environmental and legal matters.

Environmental Advocacy

Bondarenko has a long history of environmental advocacy. He is the chairman of the board of the "All-Ukrainian Organization "Green Fund: Overcoming Humanitarian and Environmental Catastrophes." He has actively worked towards implementing the Aarhus Convention in Ukraine, which ensures public participation in environmental decision-making.

Political Career

In 2019, Bondarenko joined the Zelenskiy's team (known as "ZelKomanda") and became a member of the "Servant of the People" party. He was elected as a member of the Ukrainian Parliament (the Verkhovna Rada) in the 2019 parliamentary elections, where he ranked 60th on the party list.

Parliamentary Role

Bondarenko is currently the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Use. He is also a member of the Group on Inter-Parliamentary Relations with Japan.

Professional Experience

Prior to his political career, Bondarenko worked as the director of the LLC "Investplus" in Kharkiv.
