Early Life and Education

Paola Carinelli is an Italian politician who serves as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Five Star Movement. She holds a degree in language mediation from the University of Milan.

Political Career

Member of Parliament

Carinelli was elected to the Chamber of Deputies on March 6, 2013, as part of Lombardy's 3rd electoral district. She rose through the ranks, winning the vote to lead the Five Star Movement's parliamentary group, defeating Massimo Artini.

Impeachment Initiative

In a bold move, Carinelli initiated an impeachment process against President Giorgio Napolitano. However, the initiative was ultimately unsuccessful.

Party Leadership

On June 25, 2014, Carinelli was appointed as the head of the Five Star Movement's parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies. She held this position until 2018.

Commission Work

Since January 14, 2015, Carinelli has served on the IX Commission (Transport, Postal Services, and Telecommunications). Her work has focused on improving transportation infrastructure, postal services, and telecommunications technology in Italy.
