Triumph at the 1908 Olympics
Weisz's greatest triumph came at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. Competing in the heavyweight category (over 93.0 kg), he faced fierce competition from some of the world's best wrestlers. However, Weisz remained undeterred, demonstrating his exceptional strength and technique in each of his three matches.
Victorious Path to Gold
In his first match, Weisz effortlessly pinned his opponent, Hugo Payne of Great Britain. He then went on to defeat Yukio Terada of Japan by a comfortable margin. In the championship match, Weisz faced the formidable Estonian wrestler August Stührk. The bout was intense, but Weisz ultimately emerged victorious, securing the gold medal that would cement his legacy.
