Robert Arzumanyan
Biography of Robert Arzumanyan
Robert Arzumanyan is an Armenian footballer who plays as a central defender. Known for his speed and ability to play low, he started his career in the youth team of "Pyunik". As he developed his skills, Robert gained the trust of his team and became an indispensable player. In 2005, he joined the main squad of the team and showcased his talent against top clubs.
Arzumanyan's impressive performances in subsequent seasons caught the attention of foreign scouts. On January 17, 2008, he signed a one-year contract with the Danish club "Randers". After the 2008/09 season, he became one of the key players in the team and extended his contract for four years on August 29, 2008. However, in the 2009/10 season, he appeared less frequently on the field, as he did not fit into the new head coach's plans.
After a successful performance with the national team in the Euro 2012 qualifiers, Arzumanyan returned to the club and found himself demoted to the reserve team. The reason for this decision was likely due to Arzumanyan and his agent expressing their desire to potentially transfer to another European club during the winter transfer window.
In January 2011, there were reports of Arzumanyan's interest in joining the Wroclaw-based club "Slask", where he underwent a trial. Despite showing promise during the training camp, Arzumanyan did not secure a contract due to commission demands from his agent, Robert Kildanovich. As a result, "Slask" decided not to sign the player.
Arzumanyan made his debut for the Armenian national team in a friendly match against Kuwait on March 18, 2005. He scored his first international goal in a Euro 2008 qualifying match against Kazakhstan on June 2, 2007. This match was a milestone for the Armenian national team, being their 100th game, and Arzumanyan opened the scoring in the 31st minute.
