Early Career
David Hubnik, born in Vsetín, Czech Republic, began his football journey at the tender age of six when he enrolled in the youth academies of local clubs FC Halenkov, FC Vsetín, and FC Svit.
Career in Czech Republic
In 1998, Hubnik joined Czech club SK Sigma Olomouc and played a key role in the team's success. His impressive performances earned him a spot on the Czech Republic youth national team.
Transfer to FC Moskva
In 2007, Hubnik made a significant career move when he joined FC Moskva for a transfer fee of €2 million. However, his time in Russia was cut short as he was loaned out to AC Sparta Prague in early 2009.
Loan to Hertha Berlin
After a year with Sparta Prague, FC Moskva sent Hubnik on loan to Hertha Berlin until June 2010. Following the disbandment of FC Moskva, Hertha Berlin acquired all rights to the defender.
Return to Czech Republic with Viktoria Plzeň
On September 3, 2013, Hubnik returned to the Czech Republic and signed a one-year contract with Viktoria Plzeň. He played a crucial role in their league success and gained significant experience in international competitions.
Loan to SK Sigma Olomouc and Return to Viktoria Plzeň
In September 2015, Hubnik was loaned out to his former club, SK Sigma Olomouc. He spent a short time there before returning to Viktoria Plzeň later that year.
Current Status
