Early Life and Education
Roman Vanzuryak was born in 1976 and completed his basic education at Hlyboka Secondary School No. 2 in 1995. He then pursued his education at Chernivtsi Pedagogical College and graduated in 1998 with an incomplete higher education in Psychology. Vanzuryak obtained his full higher education from Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, where he studied psychology from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, he holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Lviv Regional Institute of Public Administration (2005).
Professional Career
Vanzuryak began his professional journey in 1999 as a teacher at Starovochynetska school-lyceum, followed by a stint as a practical psychologist in 2000-2001. From 2001 to 2003, he served as a chief specialist at Hlyboka District Center for Social Services for Youth. He held various positions in the public administration, including Glyboka District State Administration from 2005 to 2006 and Vadul-Siret and Chernivtsi Regional Customs from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, he resigned as Deputy Head of the Customs Clearance Department No. 2 at Vadul-Siret Regional Customs.
Political Career
Vanzuryak's political journey began in 2005 when he became a member of the "Batkivshchyna" All-Ukrainian Union. He was elected as a deputy of the Chernivtsi Regional Council from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, he joined the "UDAR" political party and became the head of its Chernivtsi regional organization. From November 12, 2012, to April 15, 2014, he served as a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament (7th convocation) for the "UDAR" party.
Head of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration
On March 21, 2014, Roman Vanzuryak was appointed as the Head of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration by the Acting President of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov. He held this position until October 29, 2014, when he resigned due to his belief that the new Verkhovna Rada and the President should appoint a new team of regional administrators.

In March 2014, Vanzuryak was included in the list of 312 personas non grata by the State Council of the Republic of Crimea in response to the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
